Effective date: October 4, 2026

These Text Messaging Terms apply to text messages (SMS and MMS) exchanged with Bitcom, LLC (“Bitcom,” “we,” “us”). They are part of our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Bitcom uses text messaging in two separate programs, each described below:

  1. Internal API testing: test messages that Bitcom’s engineering team sends through Bitcom’s messaging API to Bitcom staff and authorized test numbers.
  2. Customer and support conversations: text conversations with our customers and with people who contact Bitcom.

The sections after the two programs, covering cost, opting out, help, delivery and privacy, apply to both.

Program 1: Internal API testing

Bitcom operates a messaging API as part of its telecommunications platform. This program is used exclusively by Bitcom, LLC for internal API testing and platform validation. Messages are generated programmatically through Bitcom’s messaging API to verify end-to-end delivery, message formatting, throughput, and STOP and HELP keyword handling. Messages in this program include:

  • API test messages;
  • one-time verification codes used to validate the platform; and
  • notices to enrolled test recipients, such as confirmation that a number has been added to or removed from the test list.

Recipients are limited to Bitcom staff and a small set of authorized internal test numbers whose owners have consented in advance. This program is never used for production messaging or marketing, it sends messages only to numbers on the internal test list, and it does not use purchased or third-party contact lists.

How numbers are enrolled

There is no public sign-up for this program. A number receives test messages only after its owner has agreed in advance to receive Bitcom test traffic and Bitcom’s engineering team has added it to the internal test list by hand. Submitting a form on this website, texting Bitcom, or becoming a customer does not add a number to the test list.

Messages you may receive

When a number is added to the test list: “Welcome to Bitcom testing. You have been added as an authorized test recipient for Bitcom’s internal API testing. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”

A typical test message: “This is a Bitcom API test message. Your verification code is 123456. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”

If you reply STOP: “You have opted out of Bitcom messages. No further messages will be sent. Reply HELP for assistance.”

If you reply HELP: “Bitcom support: email support@bitcom.us or call (904) 823-0771. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel.”

Message frequency

Message frequency varies with testing activity.

Program 2: Customer and support conversations

Bitcom exchanges text messages with its customers and with people who contact us, about the matters they raise and the services we provide: questions and quotes, orders and installations, service and support requests, scheduling, outages and maintenance, and account and billing questions. These conversations may be carried on Bitcom’s own systems or on third-party messaging or customer-relationship platforms that Bitcom uses to communicate with customers. These terms apply in the same way whichever system sends or receives the message.

How you consent

You agree to receive text messages from Bitcom about your inquiry, your service, or your support request when you text Bitcom, or when you give Bitcom your mobile number for service or support, for example on an order or service agreement, in a support request, during a call, or through a form on this website. Each form on this website carries a notice explaining this consent.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of buying any Bitcom service. By giving us a mobile number, you confirm that you are the subscriber for that number or that you have the subscriber’s permission to use it. Your agreement applies only to messages from Bitcom.

No marketing without your separate consent

Messages in this program relate to your inquiry, your service, or your account. Bitcom does not send you marketing or promotional text messages unless you have separately and expressly agreed to receive them. Giving us your number for service or support, or texting us with a question, is not agreement to receive marketing.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies with your conversation and your service needs.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Bitcom does not charge for these text messages, but your wireless carrier’s standard messaging and data rates apply under your mobile plan.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message from us to cancel. We also accept END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, and STOPALL. After you opt out, we send one message confirming it, and we send no further text messages to that number unless you opt in again.

You can also ask us to stop by calling (904) 823-0771 or emailing support@bitcom.us. To start receiving messages again, reply START. If you text us again after opting out, we may reply to your message.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message for help. You can also reach Bitcom support at support@bitcom.us or (904) 823-0771.

Delivery

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier, your device, and network conditions, and is not guaranteed.

Your privacy

We never sell, rent, or share your mobile number, your text messaging opt-in data, or your consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we protect it.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
